The Australian Bureau of Statistics publishes the September monthly consumer price index on 28 October. Annual inflation rose to 4.0% in August from 3.5% in July, and trimmed mean inflation was 3.6%.

Update: on 29 September the Reserve Bank of Australia raised its cash rate to 4.60%, its fourth increase of 2026, and a day later the ABS reported inflation of 4.0% for August.
