How to read this comparison

Regulators come first. A top-tier regulator such as the FCA, ASIC or CySEC sets capital rules, keeps client money separate from the broker's own and, in most countries, backs a compensation scheme. An offshore licence usually means higher leverage and far less protection. Which company holds your account depends on where you live, so check the entity named in your client agreement against the regulator's own register: how to check if a forex broker is regulated.

Loss rates are the broker's own figures. EU and UK brokers must publish the share of retail CFD accounts that lose money. A lower number is not a promise about your results; see what the retail loss warning means.

Costs and platforms vary by account. Commission, spreads and swap rates change between account types and instruments, and the minimum deposit is often different for each company in a group. Compare the full cost of the trades you actually place with spread, commission and swap costs explained, and the platforms with MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and TradingView compared.

How FTC collects these facts, and what it never claims, is set out in how we build broker profiles. Members share their own experiences of deposits, withdrawals and support in the broker discussions.
