Your account: notifications, privacy and data

How to control notifications, your privacy and your data on FTC, and how to download or delete it.

Signing in

FTC has no passwords. Enter your email, and we send a one-time sign-in code and a link. The code works once and expires in ten minutes.

Notifications

Your inbox shows replies, mentions, decisions about your account, alerts for watched events, headline alerts and alerts from members you follow. Email is on for replies, mentions and decisions, and off for the weekly digest, economic event alerts and anything else you haven't chosen.

Every email carries a link that turns that kind of email off. The link is signed, so it can't change anyone else's settings.

Privacy

You choose what your public profile shows, or set it to private at any time.

Your data

Download a copy of your data as a JSON file from your account. The file includes what you wrote, your notifications, your watchlist and your profile.

Deleting your account

Account deletion isn't self-service yet. Use the contact page to ask FTC to delete your account. The privacy policy explains what is kept after deletion, and for how long.
