Community guidelines
The rules for comments, reviews and the global chat, and what happens when they're broken.
Draft, 13 September 2026. This policy is a working draft and needs legal review before launch. Text in [brackets] is still to be filled in.
The basics
FTC is a place for traders to share ideas, ask questions and warn each other about bad brokers. Keep it useful and respectful.
Rules everywhere on FTC
- No abuse, slurs, threats or harassment.
- No spam, self-promotion or referral links.
- No selling signals, courses, account management or “guaranteed profit” schemes.
- No asking members to move to Telegram, WhatsApp or private messages to do business.
- No impersonating FTC staff, brokers or other members.
- No sharing other people's personal information.
- No illegal content.
Extra rules in the global chat
- Links, website addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and messaging handles are blocked automatically.
- A message containing abusive language is blocked and your account is suspended automatically: for 24 hours the first time, 7 days the second time, and permanently the third time.
- Posting a link or contact detail gets a warning. Three in 24 hours means a 24-hour suspension.
- Slow mode allows one message every 3 seconds, or every 15 seconds for accounts less than a day old.
- Messages are limited to 500 characters. Images and files can't be posted.
Broker reviews
- Only review brokers you have actually used.
- One review per broker per member. You can update it at any time.
- Don't post account numbers or personal data. Proof documents you upload are seen only by moderators.
- Brokers can reply publicly, but they can't remove reviews.
Reporting
Use Report on any message, comment or review. Moderators check every report, and content reported by several members is hidden while it's reviewed.
Enforcement
Moderators may remove content, warn, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules. Every decision comes with a reason and a way to appeal. See Moderation and appeals.
