Affiliate disclosure
How FTC makes money, and what that money is never allowed to change.
Draft, 13 September 2026. This policy is a working draft and needs legal review before launch. Text in [brackets] is still to be filled in.
How FTC makes money
FTC is free to use. We earn money from advertising and from affiliate agreements with some brokers: if you open an account through a link on our site, the broker may pay us a commission. It never costs you more.
What commissions don't change
- Editorial scores follow our published methodology whether or not a broker pays us.
- Negative user reviews are never removed because a broker advertises with us.
- Brokers can't buy a higher position in rankings. Paid placements are labelled Sponsored.
How to recognise affiliate links
Links to brokers that pay us carry the note “We may earn a commission” next to them, and are marked as sponsored for search engines.
