Account verification: how long did your broker's checks take?

Regulated brokers must verify who you are before you trade, and many ask where your money comes from too. Delays at this stage frustrate a lot of new clients, so real timelines are useful.

Tell us:

• the broker and the regulator your account is under
• which documents were requested
• how long approval took, and whether extra checks came later, for example before a withdrawal

A reminder: never send identity documents over social media or a messaging app to someone who says they work for a broker.
