Switching brokers: what made you move?

Traders change brokers for all sorts of reasons: costs, the platform, a withdrawal that took too long, a change of regulator after moving country, or simply a better offer.

If you've switched, what pushed you to leave, and what did you check before choosing the new one? Useful details:

• the old and new broker's regulators, not just the brand names
• what improved, and what turned out worse
• anything you wish you'd checked first
