What should a 'week ahead' article on FTC include that ours don't yet? Tell us what you actually plan with

FTC publishes a week-ahead article for most weeks, such as the one for 21–25 September, with the day's events listed by date and times taken from each institution's own calendar. It also links to the background for each release. We would like to know whether that is what you need, and what is missing.

The format has some limits: it lists scheduled events and what the latest data showed, and it leaves out forecasts and consensus figures because those come from outside sources, which we avoid unless we can verify them. It also does not rank events by their likely importance for a particular pair.

Some ideas, and we would like your opinion on each:

  • times shown in your own time zone as well as UTC and local time
  • a short "what moved last time" line for each event, for example how the pair reacted to the previous release
  • a filter for the currencies you trade, so you see only the events that matter to you
  • bank holidays and clock changes flagged for each week
  • links to the actual release page for each event
  • something else that you look for and can't find

Tell us which of these you would use, which you would not, and what you use today when planning your week: a calendar site, an app, a spreadsheet or something you built yourself. If a feature would help on a phone more than on a desktop, say so.
