- **Annual growth**: GDP was 2.1% higher than in August 2025, the highest annual rate since August 2022, according to the ONS
- **Production**: up 0.8% on the month
- **Services**: no growth on the month

## Reading it

Production drove the month, while services were flat. Monthly GDP is an early estimate and is revised in later releases, which is why the three-month figure is often used to smooth out one-off movements.
